By the end of the first week, you should have the following in the sidebar of your blog:

  1. International Blogging Challenge Badge
  2. Clustrmap
  3. A blogroll that includes the links to the blogs of 5-10 of your BMS peers.
  4. A link to the International Blogging Challenge
  5. A link to your class blog: Hoke, Newson, or Klarr

In addition, you will need to complete the first challenge, Week 1 – Introducing Me. Make sure you read through the entire directions for this week’s challenge, looking at the example “About Me” pages, then write your page about yourself, ensuring that you do not reveal last name, specific locations (Eugene, Springfield, or Oregon are okay – Briggs Middle School is not), or a picture of yourself (however, you can include pictures of a hobby, for instance a basketball to represent your love of playing the game). When you have finished writing your page, make sure you leave a comment on this week’s challenge post so other students know to visit your blog. Then, you can click on the links to other student blogs to read and comment on the blogs of students from around the world. Either use the links where you just commented or find student bloggers here.
